Jan 3 (Every First Sunday):  $2 Days at OMSI

OMSI invites you to explore all exhibits for just $2 per person on the first Sunday of every month! Submarine Tours, Theater and Planetarium shows are reduced to $5 per person. Stay out of the cold and get your science on!


Jan 13-17: Portland Boat Show

Join the Portland Boat Show for its 56th year! The Portland Expo Center’s giant exhibition space will house hundreds of vessels including sailboats, sport boats, fishing boats, personal watercraft and much more!


Jan 15-Feb 8: 33rd Reel Music

This film and music festival is an annual showcase that explores the interplay between sound, image, music and culture. The festival features collections of vintage performances, documentaries, music videos, and animations. It also explores a wide variety of music genres including rock, blues, jazz, classical, opera and avant-garde.


Jan 16-17: Portland Bridal Show

Since 1979 the Portland Bridal Show has brought together the finest local wedding professionals, displays, shows, and fashions. Whether you are looking to plan your dream wedding or just peruse the exhibition, you are sure to find it all here! This year boasts more fashions, more exhibitors, new ideas, and loads of fun.


Jan 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast

For the 29th year in a row, The Skanner will host the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast at the Oregon Convention Center. Rev. Benjamin Chavis, executive director of the National Newspaper Publishers Association and a former assistant to King, will be the keynote speaker. Tickets are $90 each.


Jan 20-24: Rose City Classic Dog Show

The Rose City Classic is noted as “the biggest dog show series in the West.” Housed in the Portland Expo Center, this event will feature 4 of the biggest all-breed dog shows in the nation, over 175 breeds and 29 specialty & group shows.


Jan 22-24: 2016 Portland Renovation & Landscaping Show

The Portland Renovation & Landscaping Show makes its way to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in the Rose Quarter! Nearly two hundred exhibitors will showcase everything from design to renovation. This is your chance to get some inspiration and a head start on your Spring and Summer projects!


Jan 22-24: 2016 Oregon Truffle Festival

For over a decade the Oregon Truffle Festival has featured the art that is truffle hunting and preparing. Oregon’s Native truffles are a delicacy frequently compared to those in Europe. This event will feature fine dining, speakers, dog trainers, and award winning culinary artists.
