Aug 5-7: Oregon International Air Show

The Oregon International Air Show, presented by Standard TV and Appliance, has been Oregon’s biggest aviation event since 1988. Drawing nearly 65,000 people in one weekend, the airshow aims to promote aviation, honor military and veterans, support the community and Oregon charities. Featured performances include: Breitling Jet Team, U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornet, U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey Demo, and U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team “The Para-Commandos”.

Aug 12-14 :The Bite of Oregon

33 years strong, The Bite of Oregon celebrates the incredible State of Oregon, its people, food and its wonderful quality of life. Come join your fellow Oregonians at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Sample local cuisine, craft brews, and enjoy the live entertainment while you celebrate everything Oregon!

Aug 13: Alberta Street Fair

Attracting more than 25,000 people annually, the Alberta Street Fair continues to be one of Portland’s most beloved neighborhood festivals. This fair will feature over 300 local venders, 3 music stages, entertainment, delicious food, 2 beer gardens and it welcomes all ages!

Aug 14: Providence Bridge Pedal

Aug 25-28:Organic Beer Fest

This annual celebration aims to raise awareness about organic beer and to promote sustainable-living. Swing by for organic beer, cider, braggot and mead. Live music, food, sustainably-oriented vendors and activities for the kids can all be found at this weekend event at Overlook Park. Cheers!

Aug 30: Malala Yousafzai – Inspirational Speaker

Malala Yousafzai, the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, speaks at the Moda Center at 7:30pm. Yousafzai was shot by the Taliban and won her Nobel Prize fighting for the education of women. You may have seen her on the news, and now you can hear her in person! Visit the Moda Center box office for tickets.
